For over two decades, Alaska Air Tours was the go-to aviation service for backcountry skiers, mountaineers, and expedition teams operating in the Alaska Range. Under legendary bush pilot Doug Geeting, we specialized in glacier access, equipment hauling, and emergency support for groups tackling Denali, Mount Foraker, and the countless unnamed peaks between Talkeetna and the Ruth Glacier.
Our ski-equipped de Havilland Beavers and Cessna 185s could land on glaciers and snowfields inaccessible to larger aircraft, giving expeditions a critical logistical advantage. We moved tons of gear, set up and retrieved camps, and stood ready for medical evacuations when things went wrong on the mountain.
